Michal Na'aman

Michal Na'aman was born in 1951 in Tiberias, grew up in Kineret and graduated at the Ramlah-Lud high school. A graduate of the Hamidrasha Art School (1973), holds B.A. in literature and art history from Tel Aviv university (1976). In the years 1978-1980 she continued her education at the School of Visial arts in New York City. She first showed her work in 1972 in a group show at 201 gallery in Tel Aviv, and has since had multiple shows in Israel and abroad, among them two solo shows at the Tel Aviv Museum, in 1983 and 1999. She has received several awards and grants, among them the Sandberg Prize, the Pundak Award, and the Israel Prize in 2014. She holds a teaching position at Hamidrasha Faculty of Arts, Beit Berl College.
