Avi Lubin

אבי לובין

Avi Lubin is a curator and writer in the field of contemporary art. Currently he is curator of HaMidrasha Gallery – Hayarkon 19 and head of theoretical studies of the Postgraduate Program of Fine Art at the Faculty of Arts – Hamidrasha, Beit Berl College. Lubin was recently named as the curator of Aya Ben Ron's exhibition for the Israeli Pavilion in the 58th Venice Biennale. He has curated many solo and group exhibitions in public and private galleries, museums and alternative spaces in Israel and around the world, including “Art School,” Tel Aviv Museum of Art (Helena Rubinstein Pavilion); “The Hidden Passengers,” Apexart, New York; “Dark Times,” The Genia Schreiber University Art Gallery, Tel Aviv University; “Fog,” The National Gallery of Kosovo; “Circular Movements,” Kunstverein Kunsthaus, Potsdam; “Vestige,” Art Cube Gallery, Artists’ Studios, Jerusalem; and Mixed Chromosome, MOM Artspace, Hamburg. His articles have been published in academic journals, magazines, monographs and catalogs.
